Crystal Zeller

I have fused my passion for creating art with my desire to inspire young artists as a visual art teacher in the public schools for the last 7 years.

I began my career as an artist selling commissioned portrait drawings in high school and college. I love to work with expressive, layered, often figurative work in clay, painting, drawing, and mixed media/collage.

For the last 5 years I've taught visual art at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics and recently received my National Board Certification in Art Education.

Currently I am developing a large scale portrait series of world and spiritual leaders who have dedicated their lives to "˜living' and "˜being' peace in the world. The work infuses symbolism, collage, and realism, representing the essence of each subject and the environment/culture they come from. The goal is to represent people from all continents, communicating unity in Spirit of those who truly live, and have lived the Way of Peace.
