Damian Tremlett

I'm an artist based in East Lothian (Scottish North Sea Coast.)
My work is a celebration of the crazy circus we call life. The small windows are a common motif in my work, representing the silent witness inside each of us, that we can maybe feel behind our eyes, looking out upon the bizarre dramas of this parade.

I work in sculpture, painting and drawing, my preference is for narrative imagery which comes to me unannounced (from my subconscious?) My job is a humble one; simply to make the marks that represent these images as best I can.

The narrative imagery invites interpretation from each viewer, it's fun, quirky, can be a little cheeky, and at other times a touch sorrowful. I recommend viewing it with your heart and not your mind. But in either case, my wish is simply that it's enjoyed..

First class honours degree in Wood Metal and Ceramics from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK)
Studied Ceramics and drawing at Alfred University in New York.

Damian has exhibited work in multiple private galleries in the Scotland, England, Spain and the US.
