I am a watercolorist with a passion for creating art inspired by nature. I live in northern California, where I explore and create beside the vineyards, redwoods and endlessly inspiring Sonoma coast.

My journey as an artist began as a calligrapher in the 1990s, when I played the part of a working scribe at the Renaissance Faire in Novato, California. I spent the next 22 years as a custom picture framer in California's Napa Valley, making other peoples' art look good!

I've had an appreciation for watercolor art all my life, but only got around to giving it a try after retirement in 2022. Watercolor is a subtle medium, and I find beauty often hides in subtlety. The delicate color-blending properties of watercolor seem to closely re-create the nuances found in nature. My goal as a watercolorist is to help others see the intricate beauty of the natural world, and to encourage appreciation of our planet's wildness.
