Daniel Feuer

My work explores the tireless relationship between narrative and emotional expression. The paintings explore the disposition between form and the non-physical cultural climate of our world. My work is often a result of the continuous retooling, as it explores the disposition of the millennial "bourgeoisie".

Brash powerful forms dominate the scenes, proposing metaphor and symbolism through the layering of text and imagery, while bold, vibrant lines express the emotions of bravado that can only be expressed when returning from a world utterly devoid of "color".

Through the exploration of visual and literary references, I aim to create highly personal narratives that explore the proclivity of humanity to avoid serious issues. Symbolism is contextualized within the overt and overarching framework of art-history and its ever retold narratives. As such, the paintings operate as analogies within the frame work of its subjects, symbols, and language.
