Johnny Darko

Originally from London, Johnny Darko moved to Australia in 2000 where he developed the technique of the application of acids over gold, copper and silver leaf. "I enjoyed living and exhibiting in Australia, however, compared to Europe, Australia is still a relatively new country. It wasn't long before I really started missing and craving the history and art throughout Europe. With this in mind, I began creating my own corner of Europe through my art, replicating abandoned Chateau walls and panels..." Four years ago, Darko made the move back to European shores and is now, along with his partner Ashley Adams restoring an 18th century French Chateau, one hour south of Bordeaux where he works and displays his art in his beautiful old stone gallery!
