David E Rowell

David E Rowell’s interest in art and photography began as a young boy. He took numerous art classes where he grew up and excelled in art in both primary and secondary school. He went on to study art, design and photography at the Rhode Island School of Design where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

Upon graduation, David pursued a career in design and photography along with creating his art. He and his wife Barbara, also an artist, established a successful branding, design and commercial photography agency. However, upon the early onset of a profound hearing loss, David made a choice to devote himself to his fine art photography. As he was drawn to the peace and serenity of the coast, it was at this time he began to express the relationship of his nearly silent world and the solitude and vastness of the sea.

David's award-winning work has been featured in exhibits, galleries and museums throughout the US and is in countless private and corporate collections including Bascom Palmer Institute/University of Miami, The Disney Corporation and INVEST/Jackson National Life Insurance Co. and many others.
