I was born in London and was born in 1953.I have been an artist all my life and was using painting from landscape work but in 1990 I developed viral encephalitis whilst in Brazil, a condition which led onto epilepsy. My art has always been influenced by my life, my medical journey with my artistic one, I have in the past used my brain scans, x-rays and cellular structures as source material for my art and as a launch pad to develop further ideas in my paintings and prints.Quotes:the work has begun to suggest another, more surprising journey; from the structures of the brain to the structures of the mind.
