David Thomason

Art has always been my place of freedom. Some people dance, others enjoy a fine wine or a hike...I create things.

Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico where my parents were raised, they remember it as a dusty little town with little going on – well that changed and I had a front row seat as it became one of the art centers of the world. One day as a young boy I wandered into my first gallery. It was elegant and more than a little scary. As I rounded the first corner I was struck by an abstract painted in wild strokes of red that was bigger than our garage! That was the day my world tilted, and in a really wonderful way.
