I was born and raised in New Orleans in a family that was cultured in music. My father was a jazz musician. He played with Pete Fountain, on WWL live and in an orchestra. We were entrenched in the city's music and arts. His company gave jobs to the African Americans in the city that could not read or write when no one else would. I played the piano since 3 years old and grew up participating in all of the Mardi Gras balls. Through this culture I developed a love of art and music. This also inspired me to write a book called, "Where the Natives Feast in New Orleans" Secret Guide to Local Restaurants. As every local knows food in New Orleans is an art!
I attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and graduated with a Bachelors Degree. Then I went to Louisiana State University for Graduate school. Finally, I attended Tulane University on a full scholarship where I received my Masters of Fine Arts in Piano Performance. During college at Tulane I also taught as a professor.
In addition, I have traveled to over 23 different countries throughout the world which expanded my vision and love for architecture.
I am a mother of 3 beautiful children!
