Delab -

DeLaB is a laboratory of "applied arts", originating from the artistic and professional collaboration of two Milanese architects, Olivia and Egle De Luca.
Since years the architectural firm deals with interior and architectural design in general, focusing on visual arts; we like to experience and implement the "full decoration": the idea that every surface, object, space, place, may help to create an original and exciting world around us, from walls to decorative items.
We have always looked for a strong union between architectural and artistic spatial aspects leading us to consider the walls sometimes as canvases to achieve pictorial results.
Almost all of our panels represent geometrical-architectural themes or natural architectures as textures or spatial compositions.
One of the typical characteristics of these paintings is to be the result of several adjacent panels. The pictorial theme can loop indefinitely with full meaning by adding modules to the work, both horizontally and vertically

DeLaB is the pseudonym that identifies the artistic and professional collaboration of Olivia and Egle De Luca.

Olivia, after high school, graduated in Architecture in Milan in 1985; from 1986 to 1994 he collaborates with the internationally renowned Milanese firm of arch. Mario Bellini.
In the 90s he joined forces with other architects and founded his own professional studio which, over the course of twenty-five years, continued to design residential, industrial and exhibition spaces, etc.

Egle graduated in Architecture in 1996 from the Polytechnic University of Milan; from 1996 to 2015 he collaborates with the Milanese studio of the architect. Mario Bellini, participating in wide-ranging projects, such as museums, libraries, theaters, etc. in Italy and abroad.

During these years the DeLaB project comes to life, born from the meeting of these two similar and parallel professional paths that have enriched, over time, the experience also thanks to the collaboration with professionals from other sectors such as artists, graphic designers, photographers etc; it is an "artistic laboratory" that deals not only with architecture, but also with painting and decoration.
