Diane Kazakis is an award-winning Australian artist who has worked in the fields of art and art education in Australia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. She has exhibited paintings, photographs and sculptures, with work in public and private collections around the world.
Diane's work explores connections between nature and humans. From sweeping landscapes and wispy cloudscapes, to organic details and figurative harmonies - depicting not only the beauty of the natural environment, but also drawing attention to its deterioration.
Her work is very much inspired by textures and she recreates these by using a range of mixed media. Her background in sculpture is merged into paintings and mixed media work that is tactile and diverse.
Having lived in Australia, Portugal, Kenya, Oman, Germany and now China, Diane draws on her experiences in these diverse environments to inspire an appreciation and concern for the world around us.
