Dimitris Pikros

Born in 1973, Larisa, Greece.
Dimitris Pikros is an award-winning contemporary painter based in London.

My practice, which has evolved from provocative performances in Barcelona to nuanced explorations of identity and cultural assimilation in London, represents a unique voice in British art. By blending traditional painting techniques with interactive and immersive elements, I have created work that not only challenges societal norms but also actively engages diverse audiences. My ‘Innovative Paintings Manifesto’ and experimental approach to composition position me as actively pushing the boundaries of visual art.

Dimitris has BFA Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts /Painting from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, with a first class Honours Degree in 2000 (he obtained the top grades of the year and was subsequently selected to present his work at Art Biennale Athens).

Since 2000 Dimitris has shown his work in individual and group exhibitions in several countries in Europe, most frequently in Greece, Spain, Germany, Japan, US and UK, and is included in art collections around the world.
