Ignacio Martinez

Born in Oviedo in 1977, my life is spent between trips and experiences. Of artistic formation in the School of Art of Oviedo where five years of artistic formation and design course. I share in these years classrooms and knowledge in workshops of sculpture, painting, photography, drawing and design.

In 2000 I moved to Barcelona to expand training in the workplace, where I contacted the best professionals in the country, making personal, artistic and labor projects of great importance throughout the national territory, England and Italy. In the year 2005 I return to Oviedo, with the learned duties, the experimentation and start-up of the “Great Vital Project” begins. Apart from combining work in various design studios as Deputy Director and Coordinator of events and museums, I perform and collaborate in several artistic and musical installations (as a percussionist). The constant study of the environment and the observation of our movements as a society have been and will always be constant in the object of my work, the result is the criterion of the one who looks, listens and feels.

2016 -
"5x5 umbrella project " - Design, production, direction, installation and intervention for "La Noche Blanca 2016" in Oviedo.
This project was born from the search for
exhibition spaces, places that attract
the look, natural dispositions for the
observation.
"5x5 umbrella" is the formal result of
an abstract idea How to show what
I see and I listen so that everyone can see it
and listen? Of course, besides being abstract,
the idea is also completely

Five fields, Photography, Architecture, Design,

Five visions of each field through
five projectors each.
Music, concepts that are not unrelated
to each member of this

audiovisual, Daniel Álvarez, a teacher
of music, Gema Palacio, a philosopher,
Juan Ponte, and a designer, Nacho Martínez.
