I am drawn to old, textural, colorful architecture and places that entice the viewer into the scene to explore their thoughts and surroundings. Drawing from my 25+ years in graphic design, I create my images by moving around the subject, experimenting with different angles and zoom distances until a graphic and story-telling composition is achieved. Once attained I bring the image into my digital darkroom to finish the creative process using my unique vision for the piece as a guide and to simplify its structure in any way I can. When viewing my completed images, your mind senses the graphic qualities and tends to strip away the literal elements of the image leaving behind the design of the piece in colors, textures, shapes and lines...
like an abstract painting. So if you view my images and wonder if they are paintings, then your mind’s eye has done its work.
