Esteban Abdala Torres Campo

Im a Colombian photographer and I studied to be a filmmaker. I have been making photos since I was 17, more than a decade ago. Almost all my work is on film 35mm and 120mm, color and black and white. I focus my work on portraits o people in the streets, and women. Al so i like to make photos of the spontaneous aesthetic manifestations of spaces and nature.

In 2010 I began to participate in group exhibitions at institutions such as the Alliance Française de Barranquilla (Photofrance 2010).

-In 2012 I had a collective exhibition in the XIV Regional Exhibition of Colombian Artists Caribbean Zone curated by Atarraya curators group for the Ministry of Culture from Colombia.

-In 2013 I had an individual exhibition at The French Alliance of Barranquilla (The visual poetry of the Caribbean)

-In 2014 I had an individual exhibition in Pubic Libraries System of Medellin, which is currently roaming exhibition (From the sea to the mountain, the mountain to the sea).

Same year Collective I had a collective exhibition in the Bolivarian Museum of Modern Art in La Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, Santa Marta, Colombia (Dialogues of Light) with the work "map of steps" a photographic collage of portraits that covered two walls of 4m x 6m and 4m x 5m, curated by Stefannia Doria.

I was part of the collective exhibition Regional Picture 8 caribbean region for the National Bank of the Republic, curated by Maria Isabel Rueda.
