Ealy Mays (born January 15, 1959) is a Paris-based Black-American contemporary artist, who infuses ethnic, political, and social commentary with his colourful, signature style and a satirical twist. His art maintains his stance as a social critic of our present time and space.
Mays' works have been exhibited at Galeria Clave, Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, and New York's Guggenheim Museum, among many other prominent and influential gallery spaces.
He counts Jacob Lawrence, Jackson Pollock, Maxfield Parrish, Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco, Rufino Tamayo, Herbert Gentry, Edward Clark (artist), and Franz Kline as his most notable mentors and influences.
