Ewa Bloom Kwiatkowska

A graduate of the Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts Łódź. In 1986 she obtained a diploma honored with the scholarship of the Minister of Culture and Art. Active in the fields of painting, installation, video, set design and costume, she received the 1st degree Minister of Culture and Art Prize for her achievements in the field of stage design.
She presented her paintings and set design installations connected with the expressionist trends of the 1980’s and 1990’s at group and individual exhibitions in Poland, France, Germany, the USA and Great Britain – e.g. an exhibition of 50 artists in Monchengladbach, presenting works of Andy Warhol, Denis Oppenheim and Italo Scanga.
In the years 2005 – 2011 she created two cycles of paintings KSIĘGA KRONIK XX (The Book of Chronicles XX) and IDEE I MASKI (Ideas and Masks). The works, which were inspired by screen reality, are painterly reflection on media (film and photographic) codification of crime and terror.
