Edgar Invoker

Edgar Invoker - artist, working at the intersection of abstraction and surrealism, which is true not only in relation to his style of painting, but also relates to the topic of his research -
lucid dreaming and change material states of consciousness at the time of the transition between sleep and wakefulness, condition of the paint and the various influences on it.
Practicing techniques that promote lucid dreaming, the author fixes his experience and understanding in the form of pictures, which are a manifestation of a certain phenomenon, looking for a way of translation into the material world.

Edgar's canvases are the fruit of studying the unconscious on the border with the physical and their subsequent synthesis into artistic forms.
Dark symmetries, clearly reminding of Rorschach stains, mirror one another and show us a great lucid dream.





The project is based on studying of subconscious mentations and interrelation with archetypical images. My task was to tune to given subject and to design the method of images' creation documenting these processes.
