Eduardo Gianni

My work orbits around the fragility and expressiveness of the human body, whether as an object of observation or as an inherent medium of the artistic making. In this series is the body that is diluted in the gestures and limits of the painting, liquid bodies insinuate themselves and get dissolved in their ephemerality. The technique of Sumiê lends itself to the flirting with noise and the unknown, painting becomes at once an act of deep meditation on form and at the same time an obstinate act towards the unknown and the imponderable.

Nascido em Brasília no ano de 1982, reside atualmente em São Paulo onde se formou em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela FAU-USP. Mestre em Ciência Ambiental pela mesma Universidade, é arquiteto chefe do escritório Somazero Arquitetura e Urbanismo.

Estudou artes plásticas com figuras importantes do cenário paulistano como Evandro Carlos Jardim, Kátia Fieira e Paulo Camillo Penna; paralelamente cursou dança contemporânea com Diogo Granado, Cláudia Palma , Wellington Duarte e Maurício de Oliveira. Seu trabalho atualmente se debruça sobre as interfaces entre estes dois campos, elaborando mecanismos artísticos que reinterpretam o corpo no mundo.
