Elena Gorbunova

I’m an illustrator based in Kiev, Ukraine. I use various artistic directions like painting (oil and acrylic), drawing (graphic arts). The most loved are linocut (linoleum engraving) and silkscreen.
The basic motive of my art is the inner conversations, observations, associations, contemplation and daydreaming. I prefer to implement my ideas through experimenting with colors and forms.
Furthermore I express my fancy by means of a pastiche, simplification or grotesque.
This kit of artistic techniques emphasizes the play of imagination as much as possible. It helps to create daring, vibrant images inhabiting a phantom, imaginary world of the artist, where I live, and you.
