Elisabeth Laplante

I began my life in Turkey and came to France at 4.I am used to think globally with no borders.
I have always drawn, from my early age, but my parents didn't like me very much being a artist student. So I became an architect...I quickly change to drawing and painting with quite a number of exhibitions.
I became a quantum therapist, working with frequencies for almost twenty years, but now I am only a professional artist. I exhibited last year in London and Barcelona too.

I got my architectural diploma but quickly I started drawing and painting. I first fell in love with surrealism, with Hans Bellmer, Miro, Tanguy, Ernst...
My painting started to express more and more the sensations of the body, touch, all these unspeakable things that I try to show. And at the same time, my way has become quite abstract.
The important thing for me becomes the colors, their juxtaposition, the textures to translate the emotion.
I want to be in surprise and pleasure, and want to train the spectator with me.
I am now moving towards minimalism, particularly in photography which I also practice. "it takes a lifetime to become simple, said Picasso", isn't it.
