Eliza Piticari

I am born and raised in Romania and I live in the heart of Transylvania, in a beautiful town called Cluj-Napoca. Although my education combined Philosophy and Economics, 10 years ago I fell in love with graphic design and I have been working in graphic design in the last 8 years.

I own a graphic design & branding studio named Friendly Label.

Graphic design and painting are the perfect ways to communicate and I am fascinated about non-verbal communication in art and the ways in which a painting, a piece of music, a photography, can express much more than words themselves.

My paintings are usually based on psychological or philosophical concepts, exploring different angles of our contemporary fast paced urban lives. A fast-forward life in which we alienate from one another, we alienate from the rest of the world and start seeing only our own “bubble”. We take the preformatted information that it is served to us, we don’t have time to filter anything through our rational magnifying glass and slowly become the fluffy robots that reduce their existence to work and their social media accounts.
