EmőKe Fábián

Fábián Emőke (b. 1990, Târgu-Mureș, Romania) earned her MFA in Painting from the University of Art and Design Cluj, in 2014. Her paintings deal with colour and space illusion, mainly in the medium of oil painting. Lately, she has been experimenting with watercolors and ink in order to find new approaches. In 2024, she had a solo show in Tokacsli Gallery Szentes, Hungary and in Galeria 5 Timisoara, Romania. She participated in the “Déjà vu – Contemporary young artist from Transilvania” exhibition in EMŰK, Sfantu Gheorghe, Romania and at the “Intersections” exhibition in Limes Gallery in Komarno, Slovakia in 2022. She was one of the chosen artists for the 2024 edition of the Crama Oprisor prize for Contemporary Drawing and her works were exhibited at MNAC in Bucharest. The quality of her art was acknowledged by professional bursaries and prizes, like the #Fresh prize for young artists by Elite Art Gallery Bucharest or the Katona Kiss Ferenc and Túri Júlia Foundation prize of the town of Szentes, in 2024, the Barcsay prize in 2016 and the Communitas Fellowship in 2014 and 2018. She lives and works in Oradea, Romania.
