In 2004 Guusje Bertholet founded her company Bertholet Illustrations. She is specialized in making medical and scientific illustrations.
With her medical illustrations she won several awards:
The Dutch Design Award, 2006
Dr. Pascual Award, Certamen International de Illustracion Medica, Caceres (Spain) 2007
Nomination German Design Award 2008
After several years working as an illustrator she started painting
realistic large-scaled (portrait)paintings. Nowadays her style is much looser.
