I am an environmental artist exploring the connections surrounding human impact on islands and isolated environments. Examining through immersive residencies as artist/traveller/observer, my aim is to look beyond the travel guide rhetoric to create artworks and installations examining the impact of the Anthropocene and consumerism on the utopian destination.
I exhibit my environmentally based artworks as an ‘artist at large’ in group exhibitions internationally and various group exhibitions in Australian.
I work tirelessly to disseminate the research and resulting artworks in exhibitions and at conferences internationally and in Australia. My research has been published in peer reviewed journals and a book, I have been invited to deliver formal lectures and over 23 papers at conferences both in Australia and around the globe.
In 2023 my artworks and installations were seen in 4 solo exhibitions; in NSW ArtEst Gallery (Drawing) and Chrissie Cotter Gallery (2017 Antarctica research) ; Victoria, Bowery Gallery (2017 Antarctica research) and Montsalvat (Schmidt Ocean Institute - Artist at Sea residency from 2021)
