Pietro Giromini

Pietro Giromini portrays a world inhabited by forms and organisms: humanity is always at the center of Giromini’s universe, as a spectator of ancestral realities and hallucinatory visions. The artist embarks on an introspective journey, using his imagination to reveal truths that dwell within our universe.
The work speaks of a profound and painful search for identity and the deeper meaning of the human condition. The portrait betrays no emotion; like a mask, the face becomes a symbol. A symbol that points to a different reality, beyond the senses, toward the enigma at the invisible center of the spiral. We are constantly pursued by the enigma. The enigma, as the essential component of life, is the driving force of creativity but also a dramatic reality that humanity is compelled to confront.
This fragility, present in both art and life, is the inevitable essence of existence. Pietro Giromini’s work is a new collective hallucination—or perhaps an ironic depiction of a dream of the human being.

I am a passionate designer with 15 years of experience. Following my studies in architecture, I have been working as an architect for renowned firms in Rome (IT), Shanghai (CN), Rotterdam (NL) and Milan (IT). Through various experiences in international architecture firms, I gained more design awareness, which I then reused in my artistic works. Meanwhile I carried on my passion for art, working on large scale painting and sculptures, participating in different exhibitions in Milan, Shanghai and Rotterdam.
