Kim Cooper

Kim is the Founder of Kimsy Designs, a DC based firm that specializes in visual pop art in multiple mediums. Her work integrates classical pattern design and color techniques into works whose layers of color, pattern and brilliance transforms familiar faces and things into living personalities of their own exuding character not previously there. Her work has been on display in galleries worldwide, including Boston, Madrid, Monaco, New York and her home of Washington, DC

Kim holds a BA degree in Fine Arts from Syracuse University and spent 20 years in industry creating hand painted textile designs for several firms. Her work can still be seen on rugs, draperies and bedding in several luxury hotels around the world. She is a DC resident and an active member of the 52 O Street Studio in the city.
