Originally from Bristol Lillian now lives and works in Cornwall having graduated from Falmouth University in 2017 with a First Class BA hons in Fine Art. She is a recipient of the Cultivator Graduate workspace and studio award and the Porthmeor studios Transitions residency. Thomson has exhibited throughout the UK as well as being one of the co curators behind 'Island', an exhibition showcasing 20 emerging artists from around the country. Most recently she exhibited in and curated the shared show Quiet Portals at Centrespace Bristol.
Thomson's practice explores the relationship we have to place and landscape, playing with memory, imagination and myth. She works with paint, drawing and print, applying mark making and paint playfully to create a layered environment for the characters who inhabit this imagery.
