Maan Andrejević

I gave 10 solo exhibitions and more than 20 group exhibitions, both local and international.

Although I work in photography I tend to push its boundaries as traditional medium. Using esthetics, genres and art movements of other mediums, such as painting, graphics and video, gives me spectrum of possibilities to express myself freely in visual art.

It has to be pointed out, even though Andrejević presents his work through photographs as a carrier of ideas, he brings such visual experience that gives opportunity to see the works as paintings, drawings or graphics. In that way the roll of photography as media is widen and it is getting new qualities adopting different estetical characteristics, making it own art language richer than it use to be ...
