Anastasia Merris

I am an independent self-taught artist who cannot imagine my life without art. Every day I create a new piece of art.
In my work I use oil paints, acrylics, felt-tip pens. I write in an abstract style with figurative details.
My first painting was a gift to someone dear to me, then the second and third, since then I realized that art is my life, my soul. I write about people, primarily about myself, about my past experience, about toxic people and the toxic side of myself, about cruelty and anger, about the dark side of myself and other people. Most often, the faces of people in my work are either smeared, or covered, or are absent altogether. Faces are just a mask, a shell, they do not have such values ​​as in the inner world of a person.
My paintings reflect my thoughts, feelings, fears, joy and sorrow. In my works, I try to show the world around me, the feelings and emotions of people.
Some of my paintings are in private collections in Russia and abroad.
