Mary T Nguyen

Mary is a Vietnamese Australian visual artist based in Sydney who works across a wide variety of media and styles. An alumni of the University of Fine Arts, Hanoi Vietnam and UNSW College of Fine Arts (COFA) in Sydney, Mary has won numerous creative awards and residencies, recently receiving a highly commended award in the Blacktown City Art Prize.
Mary's prolific multidisciplinary art practice reflects a synthesis of cultural influences as she responds to her personal heritage, Australian history, and travels across the country. Showcasing Mary's signature confident stye of joyful and exuberant mark-making is a new work exhibited as part of ‘Westerly’ drawing inspiration from her recent travels to Broome and the Northern Territory.

• 2007-2008 Diploma fine Art in Nepean (Kingswood TAFE)
