Bagas Mahardika

A visual art graduate from Indonesia who is passionate in capturing thoughts through surreal and mysterious imagery.
Coming from a family with Catholic backgrounds, Bagas distills the essence of what makes us contemplate the existence of a 'higher being', and how, sometimes, put us into disbelief.

Bagas is a student at Institut Teknologi Bandung, majoring in Visual Art; especially in contemporary painting practice. Most of Bagas's works consist a glimpse of Catholic imagery, such as icons and symbols depicted in statues or paintings, and be reimagined through his paintings.
