Bogdan W. Bartkowski (b. 1958) is a graphic designer and interdisciplinary artist known for his work in posters, applied graphics, industrial designs, interiors, photography, stage design, and installations. He has developed a distinctive style rooted in nature and minimalism, showcasing his art in numerous exhibitions and biennials worldwide. Bartkowski has collaborated with prominent events such as the Top of the Top Sopot Festival and the Yach Film Festival. From 2014 to 2022, he curated the Terrace Port 110 Gallery in Iława, where he resides. His works are in private collections across Europe, Asia, and North America.
1979–1984 Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, diploma supervised by Prof. Jerzy Krechowicz
2024 – Participation in the Fabriano International Watercolour Biennale in Italy
Awards:
2024 – Honor for Services to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
2023 – Honorary mention for a series of watercolors at the 12th Olsztyn Art Biennale, awarded for the President's medal.
2021 – Lifetime Achievement Award granted by the Mayor of Ilawa City.
2018 – Award from the Marshal of the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship for artistic creativity, dissemination and protection of cultural assets, and for exceptional commitment to cultural work.
2006 – Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis.
