Tach Pollard

I have always loved trees growing up in rural Sussex. The woodlands there offered me a wonderland of organically shaped roots for me to pull out of the ground. It was not until later in my life that i began to carve some of the wood I had collected and a few years after that that i was offered my first commisson.

I focus on sculpting wood and will occasionally carve woodblocks for printing. My sculpture is inspired by the wood itself with hints of European Folklore, mystery traditions and mythology.
