I am a Portuguese textile artist working primarily with cotton, rope, wool and natural fibers. My practice is rooted in slow, repetitive handwork through weaving, knotting and other textile techniques, allowing the process and material to guide each piece rather than working from a fixed plan.
My work explores themes of time, memory, motherhood, and transformation. Through repetition, weight, and texture, I use making as a way to sit with change, whether personal, physical, or emotional. What appears minimal in form often carries depth through scale, density, and the quiet labor involved in its construction.
I work from my studio in Portugal, creating one of a kind textile artworks and bespoke commissions for private collectors and interior spaces. Each piece is made entirely by hand, with a strong focus on material integrity, balance, and longevity. Custom wooden elements and framing are developed in close collaboration with a local woodworker to support and extend the textile work.
Self-taught textile artist
Studio-based practice developed through independent research, material experimentation, and hands-on making. Background in macramé, weaving, and crochet, with a focus on contemporary fiber art and sculptural textiles.
Ongoing learning through continuous studio practice.
