Rodney Rascona

As a director and photographer I've spent much of my life on location around the globe, immersed in local,
region and national issues that I’ve embraced, as this enables me to have a better understanding of the
challenges my subjects may be enjoying, enduring or suffering under. All human issues interest me, especially
where film or photography can help make the difference.

When a population or individuals are often
maligned, marginalized, impoverished, made less than best, my images can help give a voice where at times...
there's none to be heard. Migration, polarization, religion bias, poverty, refugees, domestic abuse, global
health, drought, famine, children's lives and the dreams of a planet…local social issues to international affairs,
the human rights and the human condition are important issues to me.

I've been tasked with raising awareness to some of the 21st century's most pressing global issues [2004 Southeast Asia Tsunami, the Haitian earthquake, the Somali/Kenya exodus, Ethiopian Famine, Post-Genocide Rwanda, Women's Rights in Congo, Philippines typhoon Haiyan, Global Women's Health and Human Rights], consistently delivering frame-by-frame impact for clients from NGOs to the United Nations Foundation - as...

Rascona's commercial and humanitarian assignments have stretched from Latin America to the Indian Sub-Continent to Indochina with multiple projects throughout all regions of Africa at the village level, the jungles of Cambodia to the arid desert lands of northern Kenya - remote locations along tributaries of the Amazon to Europe and to the conflict zones of Congo. International location production is Rodney's DNA.

His work for agencies includes multiple projects across the United States for domestic and global corporations, for major automotive manufacturers from AUDI to GMC, both in studio and on location. Irrespective of the project, be it a large program with a full compliment of professionals on set or alone, as a Director/Shooter/Exec.Producer, Rodney has earned the trust of clients and professionals as a solid partner to help create, help produce solutions to exceed creative challenges.
