Letizia Maria Cavallo

Letizia Cavallo is an Italian artist who lives and works in Rome. Her biography reflects her diverse talents: a biologist and an interpreter, she developed a love for drawing and painting at a very early age and is now a full-time artist.
She is deeply convinced that beauty is present everywhere in the world as a powerful source capable of giving pleasure to our senses and sense to our lives. We only need to see it. Her artistic investigation focuses precisely on unveiling the inner beauty around us which a casual eye hardly notices and yet is so present.
Her favourite subjects are nature and the human figure. In her work, at present, she is focusing on the imaginative, mysterious and fascinating world of children in their relation with their peers and with life in general.
She works in graphite/charcoal, watercolour, gouache, soft pastel, oil and mixed media whichever suits the mood of the moment.

She graduated in Biological Sciences at the University La Sapienza, Rome. She has also a degree in Translation and Interpretating and a Master Degree in Lichenology.
She trained under the prominent artist and professor of Fine Arts Gianluigi Mattia in Rome for 15 years.
