As a self-taught painter and filmmaker I draw my inspiration from people and stories. Faces are my perfect landscapes, I make their expressions tell stories that leave the spectator with a lot of freedom of interpretation and personal reception. What's left out, the disintegration, the dissolution are what interest me and what make the whole artwork. I do not shy back from exposing the ugly or unearthing the uncomfortable. Personal stories mix with universal themes. Dark colors dominate, inspiring fellow workers are Hieronymus Bosch, Egon Schiele, Alfred Kubin, Francis Bacon, Gottfried Helnwein, Caspar David Friedrich, etc.
