Rex Chan

I have worked as a graphic designer since 1980 and have been working on painting and drawing almost without taking a break in all these years.

I collect printed matters like movie tickets, envelopes, ship tickets, boarding passes... especially those with a
date printed on them... and then one day I pasted them together and drew on them, then put them aside for a
while, pick them up again some other time and drew them again and again... I have this habit for almost two
decades.

My formal training includes a 1977 Diploma Course in design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic, and a 1985 part-time Studio Ceramics course at the same institute.
