Daniel Franc

I'm a fine art drone photographer, internationally recognized by several awards, having been featured by National Geographic and other publications and exhibiting on 2 solo and numerous groups exhibitions.

My work in drone photography centers on the awe of uncovering the extraordinary within the ordinary. It's about seeing beauty or dynamic complexity in places where we least expect it, by shifting our perspective… and literally losing the ground under our feet.

I've been awarded multiple international photo awards, have been exhibiting and was featured in publications (incl. the National Geographic), but I try to stay humble towards the endless possibilities that the views on Earth from the sky offer to us.

In my drone photography, I aim to finding beauty and complexity where we least expect it by shifting our perspective and soaring above the ground. It isn't just about capturing landscapes differently; it's an adventurous exploration of the world around us. And while I've worked in exotic locations, my true fulfillment comes from revealing the richness of what's around us in our most immediate surroundings.

During my photographic journey, I've participated in group exhibitions and had solo exhibitions, won multiple major international awards (incl. IPA, APA, ND Awards, Minimalist Photo Awards, and others) and have been published, incl. in the National Geographic Magazine (Czech Republic).

I have always been fascinated by the hidden possibilities in the world around me and was an innovator in areas that were new or off the beaten path. I have also always been close to nature, spending some time as an instructor of outdoor experiential activities in South Africa, Australia, and then in the Czech Republic.
