As an Artist and a Jungian Psychotherapist, I collaborate in reshaping generational trauma both in the individual and collective psyche. Personally, I explore the variegated intersection between my indigenous Peruvian maternal lineage and my colonialist Spanish paternal lineage. The mechanism of making an art image releases the autonomous nature of psyche. Imaginal discourse is a vehicle to give voice to the intimacy with and embodiment of the unconscious. I am interested in utilizing the language of image primarily because I am inspired by this codified and symbolic aesthetic of the indigenous experience. I believe that imagination is essential to personal and collective change.
