Amanda is a self-taught visual artist from St. Augustine, FL. Her work is figurative and loosely abstract; inspired by her surroundings and the natural world. Often guided by music, Amanda layers color and texture to capture the energy and tempo of the moment. Frequently using her own figure as a guide, she renders it with bold gestural strokes and colors to make it “extra.” A nod to gutsy women, these figurative pieces explore eroticism and raw emotion but are also self-reflective and strive to balance hope and despair into a piece that works compositionally. Her work is featured in private collections all over the US and has been published in World of Interiors & British Vogue.
