Andoan Nguyen

An Doan Nguyen (b. 1978, Phuc Long, Vietnam) Educated at Wimbledon College of Art. / Bachelor Fine Art. And Art history at the University of Bergen. His oil paintings have been purchased by several private and public collectors and institutions.

"I guess I am trying to not have a dedicated style of expression in my artworks. I choose to be inspired by both everyday life, movies, digital medias, photos, dreams and my own strange thoughts or vision. I like to adress large issues through my works. Sometimes my interest can be in just capturing a certain light / feeling. My works are mainly oil on canvas - The themes in my works can be almost everything; from nature, people, forest and urban landscapes. My paintings can be vibrant or calm, somtimes a mix between photorealism and surrealism. It is said about my works that they can both express great joy or a positiv feeling as well as state of loneliness.
