Naqsh Raj

(b. 1984) is a multifaceted artist, educator, and mother. With a
Master’s Degree in Visual Arts from the National College of Arts,
Lahore, she has established herself as a talented painter and
dedicated teacher.

Raj’s academic tenure includes ten years of service at Comsats
University, Islamabad, and a stint as a lecturer at Nottingham
Trent International College, UK, until December 2023. Her artistic
prowess has earned her numerous accolades, including the
esteemed 2024 ‘Nigaah Award’ at Mohatta Palace, Karachi, and
the main prize in ‘Open 23’ at Tarpey Gallery, UK. She was also
shortlisted for the prestigious 2023 ‘John Moores Painting Prize’.
Naqsh Raj’s work has gained international recognition, with
exhibitions and collections spanning globally. Her artistic journey
is a testament to her passion and dedication to the world of art.

Naqsh is also a member of Primary, an artist-led contemporary visual arts organisation based in the United Kingdom.
