I am a contemporary, abstract mixed-media artist. I work in layers, creating complexity, then taking away to give a strong focal point, but with fun, funky textures. I work in layers of unique textures, acrylic, spray paint, pastel, ink, and to top it off, oil, oil pastel and oil bars. I especially like working with oil bars to create bold geometric shapes and saturated colors. My studies in art, fashion, Spanish and world travels have all influenced my art. I gain inspiration from textiles, patterns on the earth’s surface, striking color combinations and urban, street graffiti art. I am drawn to creating bold, abstract art because of the level of subjectivity it allows.
