I guess I've never liked the reality I live in. My health issues, which led to bullying in school, the unanswered questions about the medical issues I was facing led me to create my own reality where I sometimes took refuge from the rest of the world.
Art is my way of presenting both that reality and the one I live in. For the reality around me I prefer black and white works and those on film best express my feelings. The one I take refuge in is a world full of colours and textures through which I express myself. I try through their representation to push the idea of photography to the limit by uniting it with painting.
I love to pose on film. I find it a great way to express yourself and test new ideas. I like primarily to work on black and white film and to have the highest contrasts.
I have a team of models with me and each work is a mix between my feelings and those of the model. By far the best team is with Maria Scîrlet with whom I have a very close style of thinking which has allowed us to test a series of unique ideas.
The works I exhibit are not just photographs. They are my world, either the one around me or the one in my mind, and each work is a way of inviting the viewer to look at reality from my and the model's point ...
