Yvette Cruz

Yvette grew up on the back of a Nissan Pick-Up truck, traveling all around Mexico in deep contact with nature and sports. She is an independent photographer holding a degree in Biology from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and a Master degree in Visual Arts from the University of Arts and Design Burg Giebichenstein Halle, Germany.

Her work has been exhibit in Germany in Berlin, Erfurt and Halle as well internationally in Mexico-City, New York and Barcelona.
She has interest in magical realism and cultural symbolism. The influence of her background is reflected on her artistic and photographic work in the experimentation with natural materials and the exploration of the oniric world. As well she teaches photography and art and believes in the possibility of dealing with cultural barriers through art and photography.
