Filippos Georgios Tsintavis

My name is Filippos Georgios Tsintavis and I'm a multi-disciplinary artist living in Athens, Greece. While my practice started off with fine art and painting, it evolved to graphic arts (such as wood engraving) and textile design. In 2017, I founded the luxury silk scraf and accessory brand FGTONSILK, where I am the director and head designer. The brand runs yearly themed collections and has been celebrated all over the world.

My artistic identity takes shape from the relationship between words and images. My practice explores multiple themes, including movement and memory, but poetic simplicity is always present throughout my artwork. I am inspired by the harmonious relationship of different, often contrasting elements, and how they can team up to create new visuals and conversations. I gravitate to these unconventional bonds, which become a source of inspiration not just for my artistic endeavors, but for my personal philosophy.
