Marcelo Magalhães

Marcelo Magalhães is a figure who transcends the boundaries of medicine and art. He was born in Brazil, in a small city in the center-west of Minas Gerais State. His multifaceted journey has led him to explore the fields of neurosurgery, photography, music and painting. After completing his medical studies at the State University of Montes Claros, Magalhães decided to follow his passion for neurosurgery and after having experience producing anatomical figures for his neuroanatomy book he realized that another passion had been born there. Around 2015, he began his experience with photography, which he achieved with some photography books published. Photography sometimes came, accompanied by a somewhat historical touch, due to the fact that some of his books present cultural data about the place.
In photography, there are different lines of work: some work on textures, especially those in black and white, others on the symmetry of geometric shapes and architecture.
Painting came recently, in a self-dictated way, following different paths, abstract and figurative.
