Svitlana Nechai artistic genetics originates from her father- Arkadiy Soroka who is known as the legend of Ukrainian painting, native painting and also as the honoured Ukrainian artist-painter. His name is in the record of the famous London's catalogue edition of 1989 "Russian and Soviet painters of 1900-1980 years".
She was born May 15, 1948 in Vinnitsa.
Having graduate Kyiv State Artistic Institute (today National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture) the department of architecture in 1967-1973.
She worked as the designer-architect. But Svitlana as well as her father is the painter of colour from the very birth.
Svitlana Nechai-Soroka starts the creative process energetically from 1979 creating the bright water-coloured portraits, still-lifes, landscapes.
Energetic water-coloured painting which is fearless and strong by its emotional aspect starts to win exhibition halls of Kyiv, Ternopol', Lviv, Leningrad (St.Petersburg), Moscow, Poland, Bulgaria...
